Yes, seahorses are messy eaters and tend to be wasteful. The jelly jar helps minimize the waste. When the ponies are done the ravenous peppermint shrimp swoop in and clean up all the left overs.

They are captive bred so they came to me trained to eat frozen mysis. The captive bred pipefish did as well.

gorgeous! some Syngnathids are definitely on my list of future tanks. they're so much fun to watch.

They are a high maintenance fish but are so sweet and charming. I don't think I could ever not have them now and if you set up their tank purposefully the maintenance is not too bad. Thank you, BTW!
