all comments welcome. thanks for looking.

Tank looks great where did you get the carpet?? I love those they are one of my favorite additions to any reef

got the carpet at a store in chicago, when i went to visit my mom. they could be eagle eyes, i dont really keep up with all the names of stuff, if i like it, i get it. just like those purple zoa's everyone is so crazy about, there nice, but not worth all the fuss. i like the blue's much better. if i could ever find a nice one locally i would snatch it up quick, but no stores ever seem to get any really nice blue's. guess ill just have to resort to buying online.

You wont find to many blues at the LFSs the wholesalers sell it to people on line or to "walk ins", rather than to any of us. If you have a market willing to pay top $$$ for it why would you sell it to a LFS for half the price?

I would rather buy from the LFS and pay a little more, that way you get exactly what you want while supporting them. If everyone buys online then our LFS will not have a reason, or be able, to keep stock. Reefer, ask your LFS to find the blues you are looking for, I'm sure they will do their best to do that for you.

Of course any FLS can get them but those things are gold, and no one wants to pay the price it takes to get them in. The truth is most people want cheap coral and when you tell them those zoas are $10-$12 a polyp! they think your crazy, I know I did at first but not now. Either way best of luck with the hunt, blues are great but hard to find.

Worth the Search

They have blue zoos and lots of other rare corals on www.atlantis.net Like Ron said they are freakin high!

I was thinking of a group order from there soon. Let me know if you might want to go in on an order.

Yep I agree if you want the real deal that's the place they likely had to come through. That's where my strain(s) originated I believe.

Would foster and smith have them???? They have an Monti i want seen here

And i know you get free shipping over 200 i think we could get a group order going

These are the ones you want to find, Im not sure where some of these came from except the yellows, those are from Matt, and the blues are from Cliff.

Even if it takes them 5 years. Right Jim

Seriously I've gotten blues locally, no higher priced than any other zoa in the box, but it did take ~5 years of visiting regularly on shipment day to find them ;)

You got lucky, they are hard to find and getting harder from what I have seen, all I can say is if you want them fast order from Atlantis thats what I would do in this situation and thats what I tell customers who want them-as we can not get true blues, I've tried for over three years now. Much like true blue mushrooms, blue is a hard color to come by in soft corals.

Other than Atlantis your best bet is with Jim though because if I see a blue anything it goes straight into propagation ;)
