Most places take top down pictures which greatly changes the looks of the coral. I do agree that the favia pictured is def not the same as you were supposed to get.

It's a very sweet coral. I wouldn’t make a fuss over it either. All in all sounds like a pretty good purchase. How long was it from order date to them shipping them out the door? Would you buy from them again?

I did email them about it, more out of curiosity than anything else... but also to find out if it was a substitute so I'd know if I ever order from them again.

They assured me that it is the correct coral (Prism Favia), and that the purple color comes as the colony gets bigger, and generally under lower lighting.

Either way, it's healthy and somethign different, so I'm pretty happy.
