Hey Richard,

I have some q's about my order
your pm box is full so i decided to just post it

Did you get my payment and is the order gonna be shipped tomorrow?
and what size is the mantis shrimp going to be.

Thanks again!
(and sorry for bothering you, its the first time i'm ordering an invert online and i'm a little worried)

I would try e-mailing him if his PM box is full. At any rate, if he ships the mantis shrimp anything like he ships his other stuff, odds are VERY good for your mantis shrimp.

Just FYI and not sure how true this is, but I read somewhere that N. wennerae will often turn green after a few molts when they are in a higher light environment. I had a neon lime green one and it was beautiful ( LFS got it). It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me since they are always in the rock anyway. The only thing I can think is that in the wild, perhaps those in shallow brighter waters may have more macroalgae to roam around in and change for that reason. Anyway, long term, keep us posted if either change color over the years. Cool critters. I have 1 left that has free roam in my 125 though I rarely see it.

yeah i heard that they change to green when kept in shallow water
this shouldn't take that much time though
maybe a month or two
but his current colors are nice enough for me

I love mine too. Problem is, he killed off my peppermint shrimp right away and has been killing off my hermit crabs. I was watching him tonight and all the sudden he jumped out and grabbed a hermit crab. First time I have actually seen him do it.

When I got my emerald crab, he attacked it almost right away. But the emerald was too big for him.

Anyway, unfortunately, I have to get him out of my tank. I do have a 20g L going as a bad boy tank which is where he will end up.

I love the movie. I think your mantis was playing football and just kicked a field goal. That was pretty awesome. :lolspin:
