some questions from a newby!

I have kept reef tanks before, but never sea ponies. I am thinking about setting up a 29g SH tank, and was hoping that someone could help me with some questions I have.

1- this tank is on a budget, meaning I cant really get anything other then what I already have (which is pretty much everything, rock, enough sand for 2-4" sand bed, a nova extreme 4 T5 fixture, a HOB filter, and mysis for feeding). the budget, however, means that I am pretty limited as to what SH's I can get. I am thinking that the limit for a pair would probably be around 80, preferably closer to 50.

2- I know that any stinging coral/anemone is a no no in a SH tank, and was wondering if mushrooms, softies, leathers, photosynthetic gorgs, zoas and GSP/anthelia would be okay?

thanks!

1. You will be able to set up a nice, simple seahorse tank with the equipment/supplies you list. As far as pricing on the seahorses - buy ONLY true captive bred (NOT tank raised) seahorses. Pricing will be close to $100 for a pair.

2. Mushrooms, softies, GSP, Anthelia are fine.

my LFS has some that I think are captive bred, might be tank raised though. why shouldnt I get tank raised?

would small gobies and a blenny be okay tankmates (thinking 2 small gobies and 1 blenny).
