Some Questions on Bangai Cardinals

i plan to get 5 or 6 bangai cardinals for my fish-only 125 gal tank and had some questions:

1. is it possible to tell the male and females apart?
2. if so, do i need to get only one male?
3. does it matter if i have an even or odd number of them?

You can only have a male and female. More will be reduced down to 2 only.

The Male is bigger. If you stare at them forever you will be able to see the difference. He is a much prettier fish also IMO. Thicker lines around the mouth. More boxier. The female is narrow in body shape. Its hard to tell just by a glance so you really have to study them.

can i keep two bangai cardinals with 6-8 blue-eyed cardinals in a 125 gal tank? (plenty of hiding spots).

they should not notice each other BUT I have never done this.
