Some quick 100mm Macro shots of red bugs

Came home from a business trip to a tripped float switch/high temps so I lost a few acros. No biggie and I knew I had red bugs prior to the trip. Noticed a few in prime locations so I pulled out the old 10D with my 100mm macro lens and pulled out my first tripod which could barely hold the body let alone the lens. Not my best shots but still pics are pics. :) Used these to show the local reef club members that your eyes can't see too much esp. when they are older. I used to give pest presentations to the club. Scared alot of folks but considering the lack of proper qt/dipping (myself included at times) it's always a needed subject.

RTN of the top colony and note the small orange/reddish dot out of focus on the living tip:

Same spot with the "dot" in focus. Gotta love the human eye and color interpretation:

Different part of the colony with a colony of red bugs:

Probably one of my top 10 all time best/favorite shots:

Other 2 semi decent shots from the tank:

Wish I had taken more/stopped flow/had a better tripod and a higher res camera but such is life.

Thanks-I've been enamored with getting a good shot since seeing a few pics here. Guess I should post over in the SPS forum as well.
