i heard that sohal tangs are impossible to keep on reef central but on a sales site they were saying that they are reef safe. is it possible to keep a sohal tang in a reef aquarium? my tank is small but i am getting a 700 gal built next year. i have a 125 right now

Of course Sohal is reef safe fish. Many people had sohals in reef tanks. If you take small tang you may keep him in 125g. Later he go to 700gal. IMHO no problem.

its not that there not reefsafe, there just not fish freindly if you get my drift.

Impossible meaning they are mean! VERY MEAN as they age. You will need to pick his tankmates accordingly!

so i assume that means no other tangs for one. i can also assume the mandarin dragonet my girl wanted would be out. finally i wanted a pair of watanabei angels which if nothing else but a lack of swimming room would at least be risky especially with that price
