Something eating my zoas

hey guys, woke up this morning to find my RPEs werent looking too great but didnt have any time to look into it as I had to head to work. Upon closer inspection just now it looks like a few of the polyps have been eaten. I have since dipped them in some revive. These pics are the best I have, let me know what you think it might be. Also, I had a few polyps of magicians melt a few days ago or so I thought. Im guessing these two incidents are related. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.
Also, everything else in my tank looks great, all other zoas, LPS, and SPS.

If it helps, it looks like just the polyps have been eaten. As far as livestock in my tank, just hermit crabs as I pulled my pair of clownfish from my tank a few days ago.

My most recent addition was on Sunday, a single polyp zoa. I do dip everything in Revive before it goes in my tank.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have never used the iodine method. Do you dip in an iodine/water mixture? If so what ratio of iodine to water? How long do you dip the coral for? Lastly what types of pests will it remove and should that be used to replace the revive dip I have been doing or used along with it? Thanks.

You might want to stake out the tank at night with a flashlight. You might get lucky and catch the culprit red handed.

Well, IME I had some larger amphipods actually eating a few polyps. After dipping them in ReVive and killing the amphipods, they have been doing much better. I don't think I trust amphipods anymore!

Ding Ding Ding!

Exactly what it looks like. Large amphipods have been known to munch on polyps, especially the skirts. I have had trouble in the past with zoanthus gigantus (people eater type polyps). Aside from a treatment with interceptor, the best thing to get rid of larger amphipods is a wrasse, yellow coris, 6-line, possum, are a few that come to mind.

Also, while you have that frag out, I would glue up the end of that vermitid snail. They release a kind of web that will irritate/suffocate the polyps.
