Something growing in my rock

ok so im playin in my frag tank and I discover this guy in my mini dendro colony...any ideas?? I first thought majano (never had any so not that familiar with them) but then I thought frogspawn??? Oh and size is less then a pencil eraser

It looks like a baby frogspawn that's just starting to grow. The mother colony will drop it's tentacles from time to time and they can grow from that!!!

Wow! That looks really neat. I've noticed my frogspawn has dropped little tentacles before, but as far as I know none of them are growing. I may have to grab them and try to glue them to something next time I see one swirling around the tank.

I hope it's a frogspawn and not a mojano but it doesn't look like a frogspawn to me. :-(
Oh well...guess we will just have to wait and see!

Can you get a picture of it pulled in? That might help determine what it is. It doesn't quite look like frogspawn to me either, but it could be. I have no experience with mojanos though.

I agree on making it retract. If frogspawn you should be able to see the skeleton.

You know it kinda reminds me of this ric that hitchhike from a live rock that I placed into my tank 2 years ago. It have since grown and had many babies.....

Jimmy, if it is a frogspawn you may want to remove it so it doesnt sting your dendros. Just in case, i dont know of much that a frogspawn wont kill.
