Something growing over my Zoas!?

OK so I'm a newb :wavehand: to the site but have been keeping reefs for over 20years.
I have a small colony of Zoas that have what I think is a Tunicate (Urochordata) colony competing for space on the same rock as the Zoas.
At first I thought and read the two colonies should live harmoniously but now I'm having second thoughts. Any help, advise, comments or questions are welcome!

not sure what it is but doesnt look likes its harming the zoas
it will definitely inhibit the growth and new polyps wont form though.
have you tried scraping the unknown growth off of the rock/frag?

I have not tried to scrape it Yet.. I thought it was kinda neat looking but it has gone from the size of a pea to what you see in the pic in about a month.
