Ok I am trying to find out who would be eating my zoo's .I have noticed over the past few weeks missing quite a few zoo's.Ok here is what in the tank so you could help me figure it out.
Its a 90 gallon tank.I have 2 clowfish,I have 1 Hippo Tang,1 Yellow Tank,1 Foxface,I have 2 Peppermint Shrimp.I have 1 Sallylightfoot Crab.I have 1 Serpent Star,1 Brittle Star fish.And lots of snails.Anyone.
Thanks in Advance for any Help I am ready to Freak out here.

These are possibilities:
Hippo Tang
Foxface
Zoa nudies
I've had friends have trouble with these guys. They are omnivores with the exception of the nudies and the thought is they are eating the algae within the coral VS the coral it's self. Sometimes they get older and do this after being long time "model" citizens. Try and watch these, let us know!

Ive seen Amphipods eating my zoas, but they don't eat them fast they pick at them. Watch closely at night with a red light.

look for a checkered black/whie snail...cant remeber the name....notorious eater of zoa polyps

Sundial snail.

My Hippo Tang started eating my zoas when he reached about 5". I took him back to my LFS and got a smaller one. All was fine until he reached 5". I took him back and got another smaller one. This one is at about 4". And growing. . .

+1 Hippo.

Mine started to munch through $600+ worth of my Zoanthids. I had to sell all of the Zoanthids.

Hippos become quite notorious coral munchers as they grow. Especially Zoanthids :)

Calico Crab....I had a HUGE one. Came in small as a hitchhiker. It grew quite large eating my zoas...lived UNDER the sand during the day. I ended up with another in my nano...think they came in my GARF grunge.

Anyway I put a jar in the tank leaned against a rock with shrimp at the bottom...caught him the first night.
