I can't see anything on them. They are just spastic and flashing!<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allownetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid248.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fgg200%2Fkj23502%2F29g%2520nem%2F010-2.mp4" width="600" height="361">

could it be flukes? have you given them a freshwater bath? Have you call your LFS? It 's hard when you can't ask them what's wrong.

I was wondering flukes. I've had them since Feb and they haven't acted like this at all until last night.

I stuck my hand in the water and no shockage

I was wondering about it....maybe get a meter.

I threw some fresh carbon in the hob filter just in case. I did a water change yesterday around 3 and changed around 9gallons of water. Siphoned off some cyano from the floor. Temp of new water was same as the tank 78.ish. I dumped the rest of my old RC bucket in my brute so sg was 1.023(tad lower than I like) and the tank was 1.025, but a .001 change if it brought it down a whole tick mark wouldn't cause that much issue, I wouldn't think. Snails seem to be fine.

Thing that concerns me is I did this when the kids were home and one of the times I brought up fresh water Emilee said Austin was going to put your sucker (turkey baster) in the (tank) water and squirt it at Ian. I would assume that if they stuck anything else in the water she would have tattled or the others would have.

Another concern is this is just a holding temporary tank and I've been using RC. Alk could be too high since there isn't much of anything to take it up like a reef tank would. I'll test my alk later today and see if that's it.

Thanks :)

It was said there could be a possibility that my alk was too high since I'm using RC and don't have much of anything to take it up. I tested my water:

Calc 440
alk 10.2 meq/l
ph 7.7
mag 1200
