I think I have a spare refractometer in my garage that you can use until you have your sitch under control or until you get a new one. I can bring it out when I come to see you. Let me know. Can your calibration solution go bad?

Thanks Rik,
Im good, Im going to get 1 from BONDQ. Just gotta buy the calibration liquid to calibrate it. Bondq, I have "eye" droppers as well :)

Ehhhh Lost one of my faves. My mini colony of red planet.. Another light blue acro i got from garrets.. a few colonys of zoas are still closed. My rainbow pocilipora is looking better, Getting polyp extension out of it. Still things are brown but still alive (knock on wood).. Right now im still high on my salinity. Im at 1.029 on the hydrometer... and 1.027 on the refractometer BONDQ sent me... Im going to order some calibration solution from MD and calibrate it. But im still going to be doing 5 more gallons tomorrow to drop it to approx 1.025-1.027 depending what meter i use... Heres a pic of the red planet 5 months or so ago... RIP lil buddy

Well i calibrated the refractometer with marine depot solution... But im confused, The solution says 1.026 and 35 ppm... But on the refracometer 35ppm is 1.025.. So i calibrated it to the 35 ppm. Well i havnt done any water changes in a few days and im starting to get color back in both my bansias.. Starting to purple up.. :) Soo im looking OK... Cant wait to get another red planet!

Glad to hear you figure it out, it can be tricky sometimes.

I was skeptical about the Kalk drips being the issue, glad it wasn't the culprit.
