...a few of my smaller colonies have been closed up for a few days. They've now reopened but is obvious something nibbled on the skirts. I added a yellow coris wrasse about 6 weeks ago, but the timing goes more along with adding a rainford's goby about 2 weeks ago. Also, one of the frags which is mounted on a flat round rock about 3 inches in diameter was completely flipped over upside down. I know the rainford's sift and burrow but that surprised me...any other thoughts?

Do you have any peppermint shrimp or crabs?

Is this in the wave or the hex? If you found a sundial in the wave and this is also in the wave, I'd check for more. It's like someone opened the flood gates on predators and pests over the last few years... I guess thats what we get for not building biotope type systems...

no peppermints, yes crabs--few emeralds lotsa of hermits..they've been in there a long time.

could be the emerald....Emeralds will go crazy and eat coral when they are hungry
