Something to chew on

OK first off I am new so take what I say with a grain of salt. I would like to lay out a few observations from the outsider perspective.

1. after meeting a lot of you i can say you all seem to be good folks. many strong personalities, but good folks.
2. i am not in IT, but from the user perspective i can tell you the less sites i have to visit the better. time is precious.
3. some things require or at least should require a priviate (members only) venue. an example of such is dirty laundry discussion like can be found on the salt thread. Open and honest discussion is good and healthy for any group, but reef central is like the reply to all button on outlook.
4. other topics like those relating to club benifits (cheap salt buys) should in my opinion be on reef central as they are great marketing to potential new club members. this has the oposite effect of dirty laundry. people say hay i see some value in this club.

just my thoughts not taking any side......and yes i do see the irony of posting this on RC:) and would any futher discussion be posted on MTRC or better yet in person or over the phone.

In reality Bart, to save 10% each time you get something at the LFS and stuffs you win at meetings. Plus corals we split and the combined discount through online purchases. Plus so many people you can learn from without going to so many sites. These ARE part of the benefits from the club itself!!! People who have nothing nice to say need to think before they speak. No there's no need to sugar coat anything but at least be civil about it and act like adults as we are..... Bart, the bottom part is in general not directed to you personally.... I see it happening in here way too often now days....
