Not sure what forum to put this in, but just something weird. My lionfish had been sick the last few weeks with ich (my tank was too small and he could no longer stand it! got him when he was about 3 inches and he was now 13 in 2 years), I eventually gave him to a LFS to put in their 225 display aggresive tank, anyways, he was staying at the top of the water a lot in my tank, and because of it his top fins were deterorating (the venomous spines). When I went to visit him at my LFS, the owner pointed out how it was kind of cool because you could see the actual tip of venomous spines and the line where the venom started.
The weird thing is that for the past 2 weeks, every time I put my arm in either of my tanks, I'd get a weird rash and my hand/arm would just be overall itchy for about 15-20 minutes. Well since the lion has been gone, I've had my arm in the tank moving rocks around (now that I finally can because the venomous lion isn't in there!) for longer than my arm is usually in the tanks, and not even a little itch. Same thing today, I did work on my 40 gallon reef tank (which never had the lion in it, but it still made my arm itchy the last 2 weeks, but it might have been because my arm was in the 75 before) and my 75 gallon, and not even a little itch.
Could his venom been getting in the water or what??!
