Something wrong with my garf bonsai...take a look.

Ever since I got the tank about 5 months ago. The garf bonsai hasnt looked very good and the tricolor valida right next to it hasnt looked very good either. As of lately its gotten really bleached. I have a 4x39watt t5 bulb system. My CA is around 400 and my ALK is 9. Most of my other sps are doing fine except for my green purple rimmed montipora which is bleach also. Im not sure what is going on. The bonsai used to be at the top of the tank but now I moved it lower and it hasnt gotten any better. I was thinking maybe I have red bugs? Take a look for yourself and tell me what you think. Thanks.

Red bugs do not attack montis.

How's your mag and phosphates?

were the corals perviously under different lights. Could possibly be to much nutrients like phosphates.

Well Ive seen little tiny bugs crawling around on the garf and the tricolor but Im not sure if they're red or not. Dont have a mag test but phosphates are 0. Theyve been under the same lights.

That could just be regular pods, if they're visible without magnification (as in you can see legs and such). If they're on there it's because your coral is bleaching and has poor health (which means some portions of the tissue is already dying or dead).

I cant see legs and stuff. I just see tiny circles moving around on there. Like tiny as in smaller than a pin head.

When I had my tank running I noticed that my garf bonsai was very sensative to phospates. Any spike and it would brown out.

Heres a pic of red bugs or look under the sticky thread on pests, they are more yellow orange with a spot of red on the end.

Yeah see that looks pretty obvious to me but mine doesnt look like that. It doesnt have red dots all over it. Its just like if I look very hard and just stare at the same spot for a little but then sometimes I see a little bug crawling around going kind of fast. I did a dip and since then I havent seen many crawling around on there. So Im not sure what it is.

Its tough to see the red dot with out magnification. Even tougher when a coral is in the middle of the tank. Can you move one next to the glass to take a closer look? Sounds like red bugs. When I had them, I couldnt see the red dot either unless the lighting hit them just right.

Those pics are magnified im guessing well over 20x, it took me a while to see them with a magnifing glass looking at a frag only 2" away from the glass, 6 inchs or more away would be almost impossible to see without a macro lens. To the naked eye they look yellow. Also they do move so they can be none there one minute and there the next, also being so small sometimes you cannot see them from one angle, mover over a few inchs and look at the same area and you can. And when I had them my bonsai colony was the one that was most heavily infested, they definately prefer some corals over others, before dosing I could only see maybe 3-4 on a small colony, after dosing interceptor there were atleast 20-30 easily visible on the coral. Then again maybe you dont have them, the symptoms just point that way.
