Long story short, I'm coming down for a vacation, looking to show off fresh Florida seafood to some northerners.

I heard about RumFish Grille from a thread on RC, but that was before it was open.

Has anybody been there yet and have an opinion/review? Can always PM me if you don't want to post it open.

Thanks

I haven't been but my buddy went, said it a cool place and the food was good.

Cant ask for much more.

His favorite part of the tank was seeing the bonnetheads we always catch on the flats swimming around. I hear there are hogfish and cuda in it too so i'm planning a trip out to the beach one of these nights.

For known really good seafood try "Salt Rock Grill" or "Middle Grounds Grill".

Rumfish looks nice. I've seen that you can track where you're fish came from all the way back to the captain/water location.

Personally, I'd take visitors to Bern's. This place never gets old. Don't forget the dessert room.

I also enjoy the Columbia, specifically the Clearwater location. Food is always great, Sangria is awesome, & the view is superb. They also have some local seafood on the menu. I've been itching to go one of these days.

I've been to Columbia in Ybor, didn't know they had a Clearwater location.

Thanks for all the tips guys :bounce3:

Was there this past wekend. Tank is huge, awesome, all native fish. Everything from angels to sharks and most species in between. 3 or 4 tanks total in different rooms. Menus are lighted, nice touch, but limited. The seafood medly was excellent and was served on a ka bob skewer hung from a stand over the plate. Very impressive and was very good. Tossed salad on top of thin slices of watermelon. Yummmie. Bathrooms are clean and nice but nothing impressive. Oh, the paper hand towels are of the finest material i've ever used in a bathroom. Salt rock grill is my favorite but lacks the fish tank experience.
