In my small tank all i have is Live Rock and Live Sand I was wondering what i could put in for a begginer for plants that would be cool looking and cheap

I wouldn't add plants to the main tank. Plants are best in the fuge unless you like the look of plants in the maintank. How big is the tank?

2.5 I wasnt just meaning plants i moslty meant anything that looks cool and cheap dont wont to kill something expensive

how many watts of light do u have? i assume it is pretty small, but with a tank that small and shallow there has to be some type of low light coral that will thrive

Or some zenia, but that will probaly take over your tank real quick, but then again so will the shrooms. I think for a tank that size you want something hardy

IF I had a tank that small I'd put a whole bunch of different coloured shrooms, just 1 of each and let them see who would take control. I'd probably also put in a few sexy shrimp, and maybe 1 snail and 2 or 3 small hermit crabs.
I'm not sure I'd put a fish in a tank that small, though lots of the nano folks do.....if I was going to put in a fish I'd put in a yellow coral goby. They are tiny and require not too much swimming room (and they happily host on mushrooms usually)....

i like how this is going, i want one now. instead maybe a watcher goby (thats the right name correct?) matched with a shrimp. i dont think they would realize that there really arnt any predators in their lil micro world

You could get a shaving brush plant, they go in the sand and would be perfct for that size tank. They will help rid of excess nutrients, nitrate and phosphate.
