Thanks. :D

It has gotten a little lighter since I last photographed it. The lawn gnome is SOOOOOOO blue that it makes it impossible to get an accurate picture of it. It is by far, the bluest thing in my tank.

What does a lawn gnome look like?

It's the mods,

they're replacing f-i-s-h with wreath and c-o-r-a-l with lawn knome.

Awesome tank btw!

LMFAO nope it really is me writing that. ;)

Should I be embarrassed for not knowing what they are? A type of acro? "added many lawn gnomes" makes it sound like they're some kind of f1sh or CUC but then someone saying "paling/browning of my lawn gnomes" makes me think they're acros again hmm lol. I guess I'm not down with all your American lingo enough. :D

Ahhh okay lmao, I noticed f1sh turning into wreath but okay makes sense about c0ral now. Ignore my earlier comment now Sonny.

Back to your tank; I can't remember if you had mentioned it before but what growth are you getting on this tank compared to your earlier TOTM tank using halides vs T5s currently?

glad i wasnt the only one that didnt know what was going on this morning...lol.

sounds good sonny. while i have the ORA bottlebrush, it looks nothing like yours. that has to be one of the most stunning corals i've seen. i have a couple of corals that i think would shine in your tank... a pretty cool pink/orange montipora digi for one and a very blue stag also. let me know when is good for you and we'll do some fragging.

question.... as you know i've been following your example lately with vodka dosing, macrobacter 7 and amino acid. i havent used lugols solution though and as i love blue corals i think i should. is there a particular brand of lugols you use or are they all the same? thanks.

Im sure we can work something out. ;) Im actually going home early today and need to wait for the cable guy to come in and install new service. First time I have been home early in a while.

I use Kent's Lugol's Solution. I have been dosing it weekly for about 7 years now with good results. A bottle is around $15-20 and should be good for a year of dosing in your setup.

I would start slow with it and see how things react, maybe half the dose initially.

Im not sure how much and how often you are dosing AA's but I have cut back my dosage to once a month/or if my lawn gnomes start looking pale. I had some nutrient issues when I was dosing it every two weeks. With Reefbooster you are forced to dose the entire quantity at once, but I would rather dose a small amount daily. Im gonna get some Zeovit AAHC after I am finished with Reefbooster.

Its going to be a very nice coral once it grows out. Although, I fear that my tank may end up being too blue with all the blue corals I now have. I recently moved around some stuff on the left side and placed a red mille, red table, and red planet in the mix to color things up.

I still have an ORA Blue Voodoo and Ora Blue Stag that are sitting on my frag rack waiting to be placed into position. Lots O' blue! :rolleye1: :rolleye1: :rolleye1:

Oh, and I absolutely love the Vortech! Best pump I have ever had. :D

I know Zeo can sometimes be a bad word around here, but I believe in its methodology and principles. I think the biggest problem with Zeovit and why it gets a bad rep is the steep learning curve. You really must have a good grip on the hobby before you can effectively use Zeo. Too many people go into Zeo thinking that it is a "miracle" system and end up discouraged with the results.
Ignorance is bliss ;)

Most Bacterial Driven Systems are misunderstood, and many times they're implemented improperly by inexperienced (or just plain dumb) reefers looking for a snake-oil cure, which leads to bad "reps" when in fact they're the most efficient means of exporting nutrients.

Where in gods name did you find that picture of me?

It's quite old.. I shaved the beard a while back, but I still rock the hat :smurf:

What kind of bacteria are you dosing?
You said vodka for carbon source dosing, but are you using prodibio/zeobac/? for bacteria? Sorry if it's been answered before.

Are you interested in selling the Tunzes that you aren't using anymore? i am looking for another one or two.

Hey, next time you are in the area you should swing buy again. We can drink some coffee and talk reefs. :D

I am using Microbacker7 at the moment and am happy with the results.
