Holy clean looking tank, did you put back in the aquablue special or did you leave it out. Do you clean the glass often or is it really just that clean.

I left the Aquablue out. My tank grows pretty much no algae or film algae on the glass so I dont have much maintenance to do when it comes to keeping the glass clean. Once a week I will wipe down the light build up on the glass.

Wow amazing then you have one clean system. What are you feeding your fish in your tank, do you mix it with coral food at all.

Looked through most of your thread, beautiful tank. Didn't read anything on fish jumping out of your tank. Do you keep it covered @ night? I'm starting up a 40 breeder and don't want to cover it. I think I enjoy looking @ shallow tanks from the top down more than from the front.

Looking great Sunny! I love the acans. They look like miniature brains they are so big! Wish I could get my tank there. :(

Awesome tank! Your tank is what got me thinking about going to T5 lighting. New fixture is coming next week. :D

Hey Sonny, tank looks amazing. To what do you attribute your tank's cleanliness? Oversized skimmer, quality of source water, flow, etc...?

Not sure what kind of fish a "wreath" is but I have nothing covering the top of the tank.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :D

I would have to say it is the bacteria driven system that keeps my tank as clean as it is.

I use the same principles as Zeovit, but without Zeovit if that makes any sense. I dose bacteria, a carbon source(Vodka), and use an oversized skimmer to pull out waste and keep the system sufficiently oxygenated. I dose amino acids once a month to make up for the lack of nutrients. I also dose Lugol's solution, which I have found to help with my blue coloration.

I know Zeo can sometimes be a bad word around here, but I believe in its methodology and principles. I think the biggest problem with Zeovit and why it gets a bad rep is the steep learning curve. You really must have a good grip on the hobby before you can effectively use Zeo. Too many people go into Zeo thinking that it is a "miracle" system and end up discouraged with the results.

I believe the two part dosing system(Randy's Two Part) has made a difference too. On my prior system I ran a CA reactor along with a Kalk stirrer, but have found a better result with two part dosing. With the CA reactor, I had low Ph and no mater how clean the CA media was it would always leach PO4.

Fantastic as ever Sonny! :D The colour of that "ORA Marshall Island Blue Bottlebrush" is still great. :)

Jeff.

Thanks. :D

It has gotten a little lighter since I last photographed it. The coral is SOOOOOOO blue that it makes it impossible to get an accurate picture of it. It is by far, the bluest thing in my tank.

Sounds good. :D

Although the Slimer is still rather small so it may be a little while. I do have a couple other nice things you may be interested in trading for. I have a nice frag of the Peach/yellow tabling milli,Purple Monster, pink birdsnest, ORA Marshall Islands bottle brush, and yellow table acro sitting on my frag rack encrusted on plugs and growing.
