I have been considering these 2 cameras and would appreciate your feedback, pros and cons, etc..

Sony 6 MP Cyber-shot DSC-H2

Canon 6 MP PowerShot S3 IS

also considering the Canon S2 IS

I want good macro shots and I want the actual color of what I'm taking. what do you suggest? also open to different cameras of equal or lesser price.
thanks

While I do not own one....I have heard and read LOTS of good things about the Canon S2 IS. It is a really nice camera that gives you the option of a lot of manual control over your pics or just a point and shoot. One of my in-laws has the Canon S3 IS and took it on a Harley Iron Pony ride recently 'cause he didn't want to pack his DSLR kit. The results from the camera were phenomenal (sp?). If you can't afford the S3 then I would suggest the S2. They are just all-around solid cameras......

......and I'm a Nikon/Fuji guy, though I do own a Canon SD500 p&s. Have you considered the Fuji S9000???

I own the S2 and would advise anyone to buy it. It's good for a point and shoot as well as a travel for owners of DSLR's that don't want to carry the weight with them. Takes good photos, a couple of pages back someone asked about it and I posted some photos if you want to check them out. I don't know about the sony at all so I can't help you with pros or cons with that. The only con I have with the S2 is that it made me upgrade to an XT with in 4 months... not really a con, but if you are easily addicted than watch out for photography, it's addicting and expensive.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think I'm going to go ahead and buy it. I'll let you knoe how it turns out.
thanks
Felix
