Any tips would be helpful! :(

well I posted that in another thread and I got this reply:
No offense, but that picture wouldn't make me too eager to use this lamp. No doubt it looks good in person, but you really need to work on the photography skills For starters, put white balance on the highest setting, usually 7500k (or shade). Underexpose the photo a bit otherwise the many high light areas will be blown out -- my pics below suffer from this as I was a bit careless on the exposure. Digital cameras, particularly P&S models, have a much lower dynamic range than the eye.. one of these days I'll try to get a nice FTS using a blended exposure so all the highlight and shadow detail can be visible.

Sure some areas are overexposed but it's nothing practice and messing with the setting can't fix. Keep at it and you'll be taking great pictures in to time. Also remember to use a tripod if you aren't already.

you cant adj the aperture settings on that camera. i have the same one ( my party camera) so you you will have to mess with the focus ( i turn AF off) and iso.

take a look at the product manual and theres a nice chart on the last few pages detailing the adjustments and settings taht you can make on the camera. you can also mess with the white balance as well but overall the sony has about 1/100th of the capabilities of a dslr.

im sure a left out a few adjustments that can be made on the sony but just start playing with it. it takes time with a P+S but youll get the handle of it.
