They want 2 others voted onto the board to ensure no one person has a controlling stake in the decisions/assets/etc. It makes sense, but it has been more difficult than I had thought. Finding the right people who share the same passion and dedication to the cause, and who's background would be complimentary to the team has been tough. It is also a big commitment, but to me, what better cause than this would be worthy of my time and resources?
With all the messy non profit gray areas, Uncle Sam has been really cracking down on preventing fraud and abuse of the tax shelter. Damn those 'Enrons' in the non profit world!
