Sorry to Leave: Tank + for sale

Well, everyone, as much as I love this hobby, my life's circumstances are forcing me away from the hobby for a while. I need to sell off all my livestock and equipment, and am hoping to sell everything as a "turn-key" operation to someone looking to get into the hobby. I really don't wan to piecemeal things off yet (if ever).

The following is a list of everything included. Email me for more details. I haven't listed retail or "used" prices for everything, but made a rough calculation, cut it dramatically, and then came up with my price.

Everything I own (even if not listed) is included- $999:

Jeremy - Sorry to hear it. I just got my new tank up and running so if you decide to part out I will take some of your livestock, mainly all of your snails and crabs for a cleanup crew.

I'd like to be in line for the halides and skimmer at least. Sorry you have to leave the hobby right now and good good luck unloading the whole package.

30 gallon sump,o supercharged with Mag 3 pump, Red Mushrooms
o Blue Green Mushrooms, Trumpet
o Bubble tip anemone
o Green polyps
these are the ones I would like if they haven't been spoken for

he mentioned not wanting to part it out...................at least not now.

But I have an interest in
* Titanium heaters x 2
o 300w and 100w
* Top-off switches
o custom top-off system with backup sensor

Why I don't want to part it out, or why I'm selling?

- Would like to sell it whole so I'm not left with half my livestock and half my equipment 6 months from now. I suppose I'd part things out if everything was spoken for. I appreciate all the interest so far.

- I'm selling everything because I don't have time at home to enjoy or take care of it. I am working at least 80 hours per week, and it's getting to be more of a hassle then an enjoyment to care for the tank. It's a hard conclusion to come to, but I think it's for the best for now. I'll surely miss it. Perhaps I may get myself a nano and try to make it as self-sufficient as possible, sometime down the road.

Thanks everyone for the interest. I will give everyone another 2 days and then I'll post prices to part things out. I really think I have a package price that's much lower than the total value, but the individual prices may add up to slightly more than the package price.

Jeremy, one thing I learned in my 30 years of life on earth, is if you are "toobusy" to enjoy the things you love, then you are working yourself to death, and not really "living".

80 hours a week is nuts.

You will burn out.

Keep your tank, and "make time" for yourself by spending less time at "the office".

Your stress levels will thankyou ;)

Not too bad advice... Just not an option when you're developing a career in a profession. Thus, in a few short years, I'll be returning to the hobby with more money to spend on it, and much more time to enjoy it. I doubt my tank will last the few years in the meantime ;)

Entire tank package sold today. Thanks for the interest.
Congrats on the sale.

I don't think you have to have a tank to be in the club. Stick around and post when you have time, and stop by meetings when ever you get a chance. I can only imagine what you are going through with your residency, but if you have some free time drop a few posts.

jallard! great post! jeremy your knowledge will always be apprieciated here. just cause you dont have a tank now doesnt mean you dont have any knowledge/experience in the hobby anymore. your advice will help many people so keep on posting please!
