sound on start-up

i just noticed that each time i turn on my 6045 after feeding, i hear a cracking sound, is this normal?

Yes, 6015, 6025 and 6045 are non controllable pumps, to correct there rotation there is an impact and it produces a noise. You can switch them off for feeding but rapid cycling on a wavemaker for example will damage the pumps for this reason.

ok thanks, i didn't use them on a wavemaker, i got the 6055 on the 7091 controller.
