source of copepods

2 questions please.

how copepods get into newly cycled tank?
why they preferably multiply in a refugium and not in DT or sump?

Live rock generally but if you start with dry rock you can get them from chaeto from your LFS or buy bottled coppepods. Nothing in the refugium eats them so they can multiply.

I would look for the Reef Nutrition product: http://reefnutrition.com/tigger_pods.php. Every two months, I dump half in to the main display and half into the fuge.
