Sources for Pacific Hydrocorals? Besides diving for my own?

I have a 110 gallon coldwater tank that is all NPS gorgonians, corynactis and other anemones. I have been wanting to add some orange cup corals and some different hydrocorals and wanted to know if anyone has learned of any sources for them other than just diving and getting them myself?

I will eventually get the gear and training to dive for them myself, but thats not in the cards for a few years and tide pooling is starting to lose my interest unless I take extreme north and south trips.

There are no sources in Cali, that I can tell you. Not sure about your neck of the woods though. In Cali all corals are off limits. Heck even a lot of non corals are off limits. There are no hobby collection permits and most stuff you would want don't have any quotas so by default they are off limits. Knowing CA F&G like I do, there will never be permits.

That's tough just because the market is so small. Try contacting Divers Den and ask them. Maybe they can specifically order what you want from some of their contacts.

Thats cool to know, looks like someone may be shaving their head :lolspin:

Looks like I'll be spending some gas money this summer :) I think the best minus tides this year are in June. My brother and I are planning a trip, you wanna go with us Ken?

if it's after i finish the program and before i move from newport, hell yeah

I'd shave my head if they could get any Pac temperate corals from the US West Coast. Heck, I'd eat my hat even :D

Pictures please, better yet a video would be nice. Oh and by the way if you take a tablespoon or two of mineral oil and plenty of water after you eat your hat you will be glad the next day.
