Southdown sand locations?

I am currently down in Destin on vacation. I was looking for some Southdown around here but can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where, either down here in FL or anyplace on the way back to STL where it can be found. I would be glad to pickup as many bags as I can carry if other would like some as well.

Last year when we went to Disney and then Clearwater I looked all over in those two towns w/no luck. I also stopped off at a half a dozen places in FL, GA, and TN on the drive home to St. Louis again w/no luck. In Florida I did see a different brand of sand that was very white but the packaging wasn't clear as to whether it was silicone based or whatnot so I didn't try it or do a vinegar test on it. I figured that if there was another brand (other than the few that southdown was packaged under), I would have read about it on here.

i think old castle sand or something similiar with the word castle in it is the same

Just bring home some of the Destin beach sand. . .it's about as close to Southdown as you can get.

I'll be there myself next week. . .right across the street from Big Kahuna's water park.

Take some vinegar. If the sand bubbles when you add vinegar to it, you are in luck. If not, they you have silica sand.

I've got some used SD sitting in a bucket you can have if you are desperate.
