Spa Flex or Rigid?

I had issues with the 2" spa flex. On my return line to the manifold, the 2" was not cooperating. If you can get it really round, it's a breeze to work with. I couldn't get the flex to fit snug, otherwise I would have used the flex. The distant from the pump outlet to the manifold is less than 6 fet on my CL, so I figure I lost less than a hundred gph due to friction loss. I'm not too concerned about that with the pump that I have. Chris is the plumbing master. Maybe he can chime in.

I dunno just yet Murph. Im not sure if Im going to drill 2- 1 1/2 holes for my intake or just go with one 2" The returns off the OM 4 way will be 1" for sure. I prolly can use the 1". I really want to just use hard pipe but I read that spa flex is preffered to help absorb some of the vibration from the pump. If you come by tommorow Murph, I can sure use your 0.2 cents.

I think in 1" its o.k. but the larger stuff is a pain to work with I only use it if I have to, my system now is all rigid except for a couple pieces of 1".
Under my tank I have 20' of 2" passing through there, I got nice round ends, primed and glued then held it in tight for a while then let it sit for a while before handling and gluing it to the rest of the fittings that way it can set up well otherwise it can pull out of the fittings, like I say it can be done and not leak but you have to take your time and do it properly.
