i have had the best luck at Ace Hardware

Me too, around here Home Depot doesn't have it but Ace has several sizes available.

How is it not fitting? Is it seem just a tiny bit too big?

If that is the case you can try soaking the end of the SpaFlex in hot water, that will soften it up and make it easier to get the fitting to fit onto it.

My Home Depot had it and after using the hot water I didn't have any issues.

It has fit everytime I have used 1" to 1"...I usually take some sandpaper to the spa flex but other then that I have never had an issue with it not fitting

it will likely irritate anybody who has to listen to it, but...much like the warm water suggestion above, i've used the clothes dryer to make spa flex more pliant (both in re: to fittings, and in just getting it to go somewhere other than the bend it had when on the spool)

Sorry for the lack of answer but I wasn't receiving the automatic updates.

The spa flex (which is 1" ID) does not fit over 1" PVC pipe (no hoes-barbs). I will try using boiling water to make it more flexible.

You don't put it over the pipe, you use a union like a elbow etc. SpaFlex should be treated like it is another piece of PVC pipe.

Correct, with the additional comment that most recommend a specialized glue for this purpose.
