Spare live rock or base rock, anyone?

As most of you know, I've got a 30 gallon that I'm setting up.

Needless to say, I've only got 10 lbs of live rock.

Anyone have some live rock or base rock that they don't need or want to sell? Also, any extra powerheads?

I've got a few things to trade, including a bit of cash, if you are interested in cleaning out some cabinets or storage sheds, haha!

;)

Well I am in Nashville, but I am thinking seriously about selling my fiji and base. I am thinking about going all Tonga in my 90 gallon. Don't know if you want to drive that far to get it. And a lot of my pieces might have to be broken to fit in your nano.

That sounds cool. Just let me know how much. I may drive over there... my mother has to go to vanderbilt every now and then for checkups.... I may just ride up with her and meet up with you.

Or if you want we could always meet half way in like Crossville or something.

Let me think it over and talk to the BOSS...my wife. But here is an idea of what you might see in my tank.

the link is to a recent thread with pics of my tank...to give you and idea about the sizes of rock I have. The tonga is staying. I am going to put all tonga in there.

What are the dimensions on the 30 gallon you are setting up? I have about 120 lbs LR and about 35-40 base....I would be at $4.00/lb on the LR. Base is cheaper and I could deal with $2/lb. But I would recommend going with all LR in a NANO. It helps tremendously.

36x12.

I'd go with all live rock if I could afford it. 20 lbs would run be 80 dollars. Bit out of my budget at the moment, especially with our new baby being born any day now. The project manager (my wife), probably wouldn't approve.

I've got quite a bit of live rock in my 29 gallon.... I just hate to pull any out to go in the 30. I thought I would take a piece or two to seed the new base rock.

I ask for that that much, because my rock is covered with life. Feather duster, Asteria stars, coraline, etc. And that is less than half the LFS for dead stuff. But I understand budget. We are on a tight one too. If I see anything interesting I will let you know.

Congrads on the baby.

Thanks a bunch. The base rock wouldn't be as bad. I could probably get 10-15 lbs from you. I bought a 10 lb piece from The Coral Reef the other day and some live rock rubble to seed it... total cost was just under 30 dollars. I've got a 20 dollar bill in my pocket... just trying to figure out the best way to spend it... haha!

You have any base rock without any life on it you might be willing to sell a bit cheaper? Although I would like to have some starfish in my tank... asteria stars...

I got a couple of base rock pieces I just took out of the tank. They are dry now, but interesting shapes. I will post a picture tonight and see if they will fit in your tank.

I can make them fit if they don't. You ship?

If they are dry shouldn't require any special handling... if you are interested.

They are about 20 lbs. If would be expensive.....

When do you think the next time your mother will be coming? I could meet you at Vandy or something.

She's on her way up there right now. To the hospital. Not sure when she will be up there again. We could probably work something out today if you are interested.

Shoot....I am in Columbia working today.....dang it. I will weight them tonight and see what ground shipping might cost.
