Spawned fish in tank

I have found spawned fish in my refugium. I have 4 blue Chrommies, and 2 female and 1 male Lyretail Anthias. Any buddy have a guess, to which ones it may be, and is this common?

Bob- i wrote you via PM, but i have to agree w/ David on this one, do you have a photo? or have you seen these "1/4" fish superduper up close?
remember copepods and mysid shrimp look different, mysids tend to dart quickly, and swim kinda fish like.

have you had a close up of these spawn? I'm asking becuase yes your chromis will spawn in display tanks and adhere the eggs to the glass or rock walls. Anthias are ascension spawners and scatter eggs in the water column which then go over the overflow and the fry are planktonic, so normally you would be able to see then (picture smaller than a baby brine shrimp). 9 times out of 10 the "fry" your describing are mysid shrimp that live in the refugium, they look identical from far away using your eye, but under a 4X or 10X loop they are shrimp.
So lets assume you have fish fry, if you refugium well established and full of microfauna? If so then the fry will be eating the microfauna and you can suppliment the tank w/ enriched rotifers.
Since you were unprepared for this i assume you don't have any microfood growing at home? rotifers, brine shrimp nauplii, copepods?
I would recommend you start by reading the sticky thread in the fish breeding forum entitled microfoods. once you get an idea of what to fee the fry, you'll have a better understanding of what you want to try or not."

Frank,
they are darting like fish, and I do not know what a mysid looks like yet, how would mysids get into my system??? I do feed it to my fish in a frozen form.

Mysids are common in any system that contains live rock or macroalgaes. They dart about, mostly in the corners or under a darkend overhang. You can see them best at night by flashlight when they will be all about the tank. Yes they look like fish larvae. They are simply food in your main tank so you won't see as many, but in a refugium with no predators they will multiply, that is actually part of the whole point of having a 'fuge in the first place. The mysids reproduce there and make thier way into the main tank to be eaten by your fish & corals.

Thanks Dave,
