Special Clam Tank?

I remember a post somewhere on RC a few years back about a special acrylic clam tank. I'm not talking about the zero-edge tanks. From the side it was shaped like this:

|------|
|*****|
|*****|
|******\
|*******\
|********\
|********|
|========|

Anyway...it allowed the person a more top down look at the clam. I even saw pictures of them in the thread but I've yet to find them anywhere online...or find that thread!

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

TIA

ClamsDirect used to sell custom "clam tanks" and I've seen them built by other makers, but it's been a while. I bet Barry could steer you in the right direction. Pretty cool tanks!

I've got an 8ft tank in storage that I'm going to build into a wall when I move (along with prop tanks)..I wanted to see if I could plumb one of these things with the angled part sticking out of the wall so people could look down on them, but still keep the noise and hardware in the back...the trick would be keeping the lighting behind the wall. It would then be plumed into the other system for 400+ gallons of stability. :)

I'm curious if they didn't take off because they were hard to keep independently or couldn't be lit right, or if they just weren't popular. I thought for sure they'd still be around. I may have to find somebody who works with acrylic to build me one.

Anybody else?

Thanks.

Let me see if I can post this tank picture.

I'd like to know who is making them, how big they are (that's probably 12 gallons, yes?) what the cost is, and if there have been any studies on light penetration if there is only light over the flat top part since I would only do this if I could jut out the 45 deg part from a wall. ..plus of course..it'd be nice to see one that's been working successfully for a while! I figured it's been about a year since I first saw them so I was hoping for some kind of track record by now.

..but that looks like the ones I was talking about. Thanks Barry.

I could probably find somebody local to make one if I was in a pinch for it and save shipping..but thanks. I'm hoping SOMEBODY makes them already without having to pay for a custom job for something I'm not sure works (the whole light thing).
