So woke up Thursday morning and went to check on poor dad, who has been holding them for about 4-5 weeks now. Sure enough, I saw him by the fake acro (which he's been 'hiding' lately, so this was kinda new). Watched him and sure enough, he started jerking a bit. Yep, time. Waited and saw one initial baby get popped out and knew it was time to move dad to isolation for birthing. Came home at lunch to check and.. well... a picture is worth a thousand words. :celeb1:

Collected the babies to try getting a count and then into QT with them for raising. Doing decent so far after a few incidents 'child-proofing' their tank. Lost a few already it appears, but the rest are doing good (so far). Feeding with a mix of fresh BBS and frozen rotifers/cyclop (figured it was worth a shot to see if they'd take to it. Looks like some might be!).
Now the fun begins! Definitely going to need a second hatcher I think. Single one I have right now is working overtime.
