I have an SPS tank and I have been keeping my salinity at 1.025. What is the optimal SG for an SPS tank? I think natural ocean water is around 1.023. Is that the case?

I drive my tank with 1,0237.
Normal value for tropic ocean is 1,022-1,025. Red Sea is higher, till 1,028

And from our former forum leader Dr. Shimeks book:

This follows the topic of temperature on page 15 which I highly recommend everyone read:

"There is a similar range for acceptable salinity, but it is a narrow band, around 35-36 ppt. At normal reef temperatures, this is a pecific gravity of about 1.025-1.026.

i like to go by salinity since it is more of a direct reading... but i run 35ppt in my tanks.
