OK, so my tank has been getting some HA lately due to the LFS's RO water. Well, I did what any reefer would do and got an RO/DI (Optima Vision). A few days after I got it I noticed an auction on E-Bay for a SpectraPure CSP-DI (90 gpd). The starting bid was $1 so I figured I would watch it to see how high it went. I logged on to E-bay (concidentally) a few days later to see that the auction had only a few minutes left and the bid was still at $1. Of course I had to bid. Sure enough the auction ended and I got the unit for $1 plus $20 s/h. I wondered if the seller would try and back out, like on another auction I won like this, but he sent it anyways. I held my breath opening the box thinking the unit must somehow be damaged or not as advertised. When I finally got everything unwraped and together I had a SpectraPure CSP-DI in very good shape (other then a little dust) w/ a new sediment cartridge, new carbon block, and DI that was only 1/3 color changed (all just like the seller described).
But now I'm not sure what to do w/ two RO/DI units. I don't really want to sell one, but I'm not really sure what to do w/ it. I may try and use it in the new house we're building but I don't know where to put it. Any ideas? What would you guys/gals do w/ two RO/DI units?
