Spider sponge

Hi all,

I was wonderkind of anyone could give me an answer to my question.

I bought a spider sponge, which did great the first couple of days, but then the polyps never showed.

I also have a green filefish in my tank, which at nights stays with the sponge. Now I have never seen him eating but I just don't trust him.

Is the filefish a threat? Should I get rid of him?

Maybe, but what have you been feeding the sponge, and did you actually see it grab and eat the food? How often are you trying to feed it?
