how long have you had this fish i have seen fish go a month with out eating any thing i have the same fish and that show mine acts but it does eat fine

I had a spiny puffer. They can be difficult to feed. I suggest trying the exact same food as he was eating before. My puffer would very picky. He would only eat one brand of krill and frozen ghost shrimp. Nothing else.

Any updates? We have one and was hard to get to eat at first till we tried a home made food mixture of various fresh clams, mussells, scallops, shrimp, krill and whatever other foods we have to add to the mix

I had a spiny puffer. Mine was not aggressive at all. However, feeding was an issue. It would only eat frozen ghost shrimp and occasionally some krill. Nothing else. They can go a while without eating. I suggest finding out what it was eating and try target feeding with a stick. They are great puffers and they do not get that big.

Feeding krill on a stick in front of his face (wiggle around). Once I got mine to eat he would eat any meaty food, but not as aggressive as other fish, so target feed.
