Not sure about the scientific name but here is a picture

Nope, that's not it. I posted a picture of the star.

The pic comes from the user Chocolateblnt here on RC. He's not sure of the scientific name.

It looks reef safe to me.

Nope, that's not it either, heh. I already asked chocolateblnt.. this was his response..

"The red knob sea star is NOT the same although they are very much similar by looks. The big difference is my spiny sea star will not become a coral eater and the red knob sea star will. I think their diet has to do with location, the Black Red Knob comes from South America and the White Red Knob comes from Africa/Indian Ocean, the Spiny Sea Star comes from Indonesia."
 
lol here you are ... just wanted to let you know I relocated my star to the refugium cuz from what I saw he wanted to eat the new sponge I got ... however I am not sure if he was going to eat it but I didn't want to take my chances ...

Yea he's adjusting right now to the refugium since he hasn't moved much, but I am keeping an eye on him. Once the fuge get's finished he'll look just as good in there ;)
