I noticed a bright neon green "worm" on the bottom of my tank before stepping out the door to go to work. I looked up neon green worm on google and it looks nothing like the invasive green worm. I think its a small tentacle from my BTA. Its small 1/2" long by 1/8" tapering down to the tip. As my lawnmower swims past it, it moves like detritus rather than a living creature. SO the photosynthetic algae is still working? Any ideas on how this happened? Hermits maybe?
Since I'm new to the reef tanks, I started to look at the anemone for any damage or a spot where the tentacle could have come from and noticed a long tentacle with two tips. Is this common? Anyway thanks for your ideas?
