split intake?? sump>>pump<<<fuge

I'm wanting to run separate tanks for my sump and fuge under my new tank and was wondering if I could "t" them both into my iwaki 40rlxt intake. Using a ball valve to restrict the intake coming from the fuge section and one from one of my overflows to slow the turnover.

Lots of people do T splits from the return pump, so I think your idea should be fine.
