Splitting my plate

I got this plate from a friend who was neglecting it. I have had it about a year. The whole center of it died off and now is 2 seprate plates. What would be the best way to split these 2. I was thinking hammer and screwdriver. Also, what should I dip it in after. Thanks

Dremel tool with a diamond wheel right down that ridge

Dremmel would work well, tile/wet saw works great!

Yes by all means if you have access to a tile saw use it. Here's my beast. Wet Tile / Bandsaw all in one. I can make nice rounded cuts
