Sponge for Calcium Reactor

I have a GEO calcium reactor and I was recently reading a review that said that you should place a small foam sponge at the bottom of the calcium reactor to keep particles from falling through the plate at the bottom.
Does anyone know where I can buy some sponge that I can cut and shape for the reactor? Does anyone else do this?
- Thanks

Hi,

I have one on my Koralin Reactor. Check the local fish stores
for a Fluvial round sponge, you might have to punch the hole yourself.

I honestly would not worry about it. I have had my GEO reactor running for over a year now; any particulate that falls through swirls around for a while and eventually disolves. The volume your referring to is the outlet from the pump so you don't need to worry about pieces sucking into the impellar either.

You could always PM GEO if your concerned; he can usually be found on the Central Ohio Aquariast forum.
