One of the sponges pictured in the links (Aplysina cauliformis) have the same growth pattern. Unfortunatly the coloring is not quite the same. Unless I find a better refernce picture somewhere, I'll just say it is related to this.......
 
I had one like that, not exactly it, but like it and I had to get rid of it because it would burn you when you touched it. It was a searing pain and then a huge blister would appear. Wish I could have kept it but my tank was so small that it was nearly impossible to work in my tank without touching the sponge.

Cool sponge, tough to ID though.
 
I used those links to try and ID the sponge like stuff growing on my rock but i can't. On my old live rock I had a yellowish like sponge growing all over it but I exchanged it for new live rock when I re-aquascaped and now all of sudden I've got very white spongy stuff growing on one my rocks and its not one of the new ones. Its a pristine white and its kind of scattered and out in the open. I can't get a good picture. Any ideas?
