Sponge on my GSP?

Can anyone tell me what this is growing on the back of my green star polyps? White sponge? Bad? Good?

I think it's just the mat that the GSP grow from. This can appear white sometimes. As it grows they'll take on these weird shapes in hopes of attaching to something else.
