Sponge smothering blasto's-help!

I have a colony of ref blastomussa's that are being smothered by some white and yellow sponge taking over the rock. Can I remove it? How do I get rid of it?

reach in there and peel off the sponge . if that doesnt try using a new tooth brush to try and brush it off.
