Sponges?

Are sponges hard to take care of? I know they can never be exposed to the air and what not but i want to put on in the tank how much work are they?

depends what type.I had a nice red sponge but it died.Apperantly they don't like the light and they are filter feeders.I had to much light where I kept the sponge.

In time you will have sponge growing in your tank with out having to buy it. I found a large Pink sponge in my tank when I changed over to my new one. I placed it under my Montipora cap for shade.

Im thinking a red tree sponge im only going to have a 96 quad PC over the hexagon tank

I'm Thinking of doing a small sponge only tank to grow for food. However I have no idea how to care for them. This seems like a good thread to ask.
