Is there such a thing as a photosynthetic sponge?

I fragged a bright yellow sponge of the skeleton of a Goniopora that I am successfully rescuing. The sponge was growing fast and was just about to reach the tissue of the Goni. I did'nt want it to take over, so i fragged it off and mounted it to a frag disk and it is now on my rack.

It is growing well, but I don't have much room on the rack and if it does'nt need light, I could but it in another part of my sump and free up space on the rack.

There is definitely such a thing. If you haven't been feeding it and it is doing so well, then I think it's likely to be photosynthetic.
